Outreach Activities
The activities I spent time doing outside of my studies included serving Alpha Phi Sorority as Chapter President, talking to my host family in Costa Rica, and planning Spanish Club events as Vice President.
Alpha Phi
I served as Alpha Phi Chapter President in 2022, Panhellenic Delegate in 2021, and Social Chair in 2020. To the right you can find images of several events we host/attend each year. Alpha Dogs is a yearly philanthropy event with puppies, music, and a hot dog eating competition that raises money for the Alpha Phi Foundation. Additionally, there is a photo of me and presidents of other sororities on campus walking in the Clemson First Friday Parade. Also pictured is the rest of the executive board and bid day when we received 104 new members. Alpha Phi was my favorite part of my college career, as it gave me invaluable leadership experience, lifelong friends, and taught me that being myself is more than enough.

Spanish Club

Spanish Club was a fun way to practice your Spanish without the pressure of a classroom. We encouraged members to use the language without concern of "messing up." I had the privilege of serving as Vice President in 2021, during which I helped run the social media and plan club events.

Exchange in Costa Rica
I spent May 2021 living with a host family in Costa Rica. They did not speak any English, so in exchange for teaching them English, they took me in as their own for the month. We got to enjoy hot springs, see volcanoes, and take in all the beautiful biodiversity that Costa Rica offers. It is the most beautiful country I have ever been to, and I still enjoy catching up with my host family from time to time!
